Soy Free and It Feels So Good!

Many consumers who have a skin sensitivity or allergy to gluten or soy notice that our products contain tocopherol, otherwise known as Vitamin E. Because many forms of Vitamin E are derived from genetically modified soy or are a completely synthetic product, seeing this ingredient on our label triggers concern.

(We are well aware that all soy ingredients in cosmetics come from GMO soy, including Vitamin E.) Rest assured that all RMS Beauty products are soy-free, gluten-free (except the Volumizing Mascara), Non-GMO and paraben-free – including our Vitamin E. In order to offer a natural product that is safe even for those with sensitive skin or allergies, our Vitamin E is pressed from non-genetically modified (Non-GMO) sunflower seeds. This means that our Vitamin E is in the full spectrum alpha-tocopherol form, not the synthetic tocopherol acetate.

Sunflower oil, obtained from the seeds of the sunflower, is a powerful moisturizer packed with essential, unsaturated fatty acids. Rich in vitamins A and E, sunflower oil contributes to cellular regeneration while conditioning the skin. It is especially good for dry, mature, or damaged skin. Fat-soluble natural Vitamin E is a powerful antioxidant that protects skin from the damaging effects of free radicals and other environmental toxins. In its natural form, Vitamin E is a more effective antioxidant than synthetic varieties and has improved ability to defend against the aging process. This powerful free radical scavenger also prevents oxidation of other ingredients (such as other oils) in a formulation, boosting their effectiveness. Natural vitamin E strengthens the skin’s barrier function by reducing water loss through the skin.

In other words, our Vitamin E is beautifully safe for your skin.

xoxo
